  • Esri ArcGIS Feature Services – Cell Fixed Size

A new feature Cell Fixed Size has been added to the Cell Settings in the Properties section of the Element Templates dialog. This will significantly enhance your experience with point features attached through Esri ArcGIS Feature Services. With the implementation of Cell Fixed Size in the MicroStation Element Templates, the cell size will now remain constant on your screen, regardless of zoom level, ensuring a more consistent and user-friendly visualization experience.

When querying the Esri ArcGIS Feature Service point cell layer, the point size defined in the Esri Service will be automatically set in the MicroStation Element Templates as the Cell Fixed Size property. You can adjust the size value as needed.

Cell Fixed Size functionality is also available when working with WFS and OGC API features.

Ability to select a named Vertical Coordinate System after choosing a Horizontal Coordinate System

Vertical Datum is renamed to Vertical Coordinate System. Previously, MicroStation offered five settings for the Vertical Coordinate System: Ellipsoid, Geoid, NGVD29, NAVD88, and LocalEllipsoid. In this update, certain existing settings are automatically upgraded to the new Vertical Coordinate System.

You can now select a named Vertical Coordinate System after choosing a Horizontal Coordinate System in the same latitude-longitude region as the Horizontal Coordinate System, instead of just picking a keyword (such as ‘Ellipsoid’ or ‘Geoid’) to describe how elevation should be interpreted in the project.

RealDWG 2026 Support

MicroStation 2025 is now updated to support RealDWG 2026, the latest RealDWG engine for best compatibility. Custom objects and object enablers are also supported.

Automated Crash Report

In this update, the MicroStation Crash report will be sent automatically to Bentley Systems with a timeout period of 90 seconds. If you prefer not to send the Automated crash report, you may uncheck the option Automated Crash Reporting on the Installer page, Features section during installation. By default, the option is On.
