ETA Inventium PreSys 2021R1

Inventium PreSys is an engineering simulation solution for the development of finite element analysis models. It offers an intuitive user interface with many streamlined functions, allowing fewer operation steps with a minimum amount of data entry along the way. Using PreSys, the user can analyze product designs, view simulation results and analyze/predict how the product will perform in a given circumstance.

Crosslight PICS3D 2021

PICS3D, Photonic Integrated Circuit Simulator in 3D, is a state of the art 3D-simulator for surface and edge emission laser diodes, SOA, and other similar active waveguide devices. The 2D/3D semiconductor equations (drift-diffusion, Poisson, etc..) are coupled to the optical modes in both lateral and longitudinal directions. Optical properties such as quantum well/wire/dot optical gain and spontaneous emission rates are computed self-consistently. Starting from the 2016 version, the functionality of our 2D laser solver (LASTIP) has also been folded into PICS3D: this allows for easy simulation of laser devices without significant longitudinal effects and more flexibility for customers working on a variety of laser device designs. Applications 2D and 3D simulation of edge emitting lasers DFB and DBR lasers and...

Crosslight APSYS 2021

APSYS, Advanced Physical Models of Semiconductor Devices, is based on 2D/3D finite element analysis of electrical, optical and thermal properties of compound semiconductor devices, with silicon as a special case. Emphasis has been placed on band structure engineering and quantum mechanical effects. Inclusion of various optical modules also makes this simulation package attractive for applications involving photosensitive or light emitting devices.  Applications Diodes, transistors and various other types of silicon devices LEDs and OLEDs Solar cells Photodetectors (PD) High electron mobility transistors (HEMT) Heterojunction bipolar transistors (HBT) Resonant tunneling diodes (RTD) Quantum well infrared photodetectors (QWIP) Small MOS devices with strong quantum mechanical effects (Quantum-MOS) Power devices Features Restart from previous saved status Industry leading numerical convergence Extensive material macro...

Cadence Xtensa Xplorer 2021 v9.0.18

Xtensa Xplorer serves as a cockpit for basic design management, invocation of Tensilica processor configuration tools (Xtensa processor generator, TIE Compiler) and software development tools. Xtensa Xplorer is particularly useful for the development of TIE (Tensilica Instruction Extension) instructions – designer-defined instruction extensions to the Xtensa processor – that maximize performance for a particular application. Different Xtensa processor and TIE configurations can be saved, profiled against the target C/C++ software, and compared. Xtensa Xplorer even includes automated graphing tools that create spreadsheet-style comparison charts of performance. Xtensa Xplorer dramatically accelerates the processor optimization cycle by providing an automated, visual means of profiling and comparing different processor configurations. Since it only takes an hour for the Xtensa Processor Generator to create...
