- Enhanced Tag Management:
- Users can now delete and edit tags.
- A new API for managing tags has been introduced.
- New Chart Types:
- Parallel Coordinates chart for visualizing large datasets.
- Table chart for displaying numeric properties of seeds.
- Whiteboard Enhancements:
- Image Compare panel for comparing images associated with seed objects.
- Movie Compare panel for comparing movies associated with seed objects.
- Dynamic Type Selection for Object Tables: Object tables can now dynamically determine the type of objects to be displayed based on the common type of matching objects. This feature can be partially or completely disabled through the portal configuration file.
Simulation Generator Enhancements
- Multi-Column Editor: Allows users to select and edit multiple columns in the Simulation Generator, including selecting/deselecting components, pasting selections, launching simulations, and more.
- Copy & Paste Application Parameters: Users can now copy application parameters from one column and paste them into other columns in the Simulation Generator.
- Simplified Label Expressions: A fallback mechanism has been implemented to return the object name if a label expression fails. Additionally, a new “sortExpr” tag can be used to specify a sorting expression for complex scenarios.
Other Improvements
- External Vault Services (EVS): EVS can now be operated without enabling Multisite.
- Bulk Importer Enhancements: Users can now specify a source ID and expression to connect files stored in the vault with the respective object, eliminating the need for manual uploads.
- Vault and Queue Selection Updates: Vault and queue selection scripts now have access to additional information about the user profile and specific properties to determine the appropriate selection.
- Support for Microsoft HPC Pack 2019 and Azure SQL: SimManager can now be integrated with Microsoft HPC Pack 2019 queuing systems and supports Azure SQL Server.
- JIRA Integration: SimManager now integrates with JIRA ticketing system, allowing users to create, monitor, and manage support requests directly from the SimManager interface.
- Actions Migrated to new UI: Several actions have been migrated to the APIP, including adding to folders, assigning classifications, profiles, and users to projects, changing project status, copying work requests, creating folders and comments, editing domains and work requests, importing and exporting PLMXML, duplicating key result requests, moving projects, sending emails, and simulating models.
- New Platform Certifications: SimManager 2024.1 is certified for use with the following platforms:
- Operating Systems: RHEL 8.8, SLES 15 SP4
- Database: Oracle 19.21 (Enterprise Edition), Postgres 16.1
