development and innovation. Version 9.2 is more powerful than ever, offering a wide range of innovative functions that make gearbox design more efficient and reliable.
The new version offers these highlights, and more:
NURBS Optimizer: The new NURBS Optimizer simplifies the exact representation of bevel gear geometry by automatically determining the optimal parameters for NURBS surfaces. This ensures a high level of quality and minimizes potential error sources.
Variant evaluation: This feature makes it easy to evaluate parameter variations. Different model snapshots can be saved, and the desired diagrams can be selected for evaluation. The results of each variant are clearly presented and can be displayed in graphic form.
SKF Bearing Data Service: By registering with the SKF Bearing Data Service, all relevant rolling bearing data can be retrieved directly from the FVA-Workbench. This enables more precise stiffness calculations and better system evaluations.
Consideration of backlash in stiffness calculations: The new version allows for detailed consideration of backlashes in gear design, which leads to more realistic and accurate results and improved performance and reliability of gearbox components.
Efficient updates of bearing data: All bearings can be updated to the latest version with just one click, which is particularly helpful for older models. This makes it easy to analyze and update existing drive solutions
FVA 892 II – Plastic gear wear: Integration of the recently completed FVA 892 II – plastic gear wear research project makes it possible to examine and validate the wear of plastic gears over the service life. This is a significant development in assessing the wear resistance of plastic gears.
Detailed information on the new features is available in the Release Notes.
