Datamine Studio NPVS 3.0 introduces the powerful new Datamine .dmx file format alongside significant usability, visualisation, and process enhancements to streamline your mining workflows.
With this release, Datamine launches the .dmx format to replace the longstanding .dm file system, offering smaller file sizes, support for up to 2048 columns, and smooth integration with existing workflows and scripts. You can seamlessly read both .dm and .dmx files, and a bulk conversion utility is included for efficient project migration. The new format also introduces table tagging, allowing you to embed model status or spatial context metadata directly within your files.

Plotting tools have undergone a comprehensive overhaul to improve usability. Each plot item now displays its own context-sensitive ribbon, giving you fast access to relevant tools whether editing a north arrow, title box, legend, or scale bar. Managing tabular contents in title boxes is also easier with the new cell managers, and the Plots (Manage) and Plots (View) ribbons have been combined for a simpler experience.
The 3D window rendering has been optimised with smarter data display controls, including automated scene clipping and a Render on Demand setting, ensuring large datasets have minimal impact on performance.
Additional highlights include a scenario-based Text Importer for importing multiple text files with individual configurations, supported by the new INTEXT process, and command improvements such as COMBTRI for appending up to 20 wireframes at once. Numerous performance, scripting, and interface refinements complete this major release, ensuring your strategic planning and reporting workflows remain fast, flexible, and ready for future data complexity.
