This release of S-FRAME includes support for a new American building code provisions for seismic and wind design, as well as integration with S-CONCRETE Multistory Designer (MSD) for mass-design of concrete elements in tall structures.
Altair S-FRAME 2024 New Features
New Wind Building Code Support in S-FRAME
S-FRAME now supports wind loads per the latest Canadian building code, NBCC 2020.
• Support for wind loads per NBCC 2020: National Building Code of Canada. The specified wind loads for the design of the main structural system following the Static and Dynamic Procedures can now be automatically generated.
New Steel Design Code Support in S-STEEL for Seismic Design
• Support for AISC 341-22 and AISC 360-22: Seismic Provisions for Structural Steel Building. The integrated steel design includes support for the latest American steel design code seismic provisions.
New Section Database Support
New Indian section databases are now supported in S-FRAME and S-STEEL.
• IS 808: 2021
• IS 4923: 2017 (hollow sections)
Mass-Design of Concrete Elements using S-CONCRETE Multistory Designer (MSD)
S-FRAME now seamlessly integrates with S-CONCRETE Multistory Designer (MSD) for mass-design of concrete elements in the structure.
• Import analyzed structure into S-CONCRETE MSD via Microsoft Access Database (MDB) format
• Design all concrete beams, columns and walls at once in S-CONCRETE MSD, and generate design reports for all elements.
• Refer to the What’s New in S-Frame 2024.0 for more information.
