PSIM can handle quick power converter loss calculations, motor drive efficiency calculations, conducted EMI analysis, and analog/digital control. PSIM also offers automatic embedded code generation for rapid control prototyping. Additionally, with PSIM’s various Design Suites, users can design power supplies, electromagnetic interference (EMI) filters, and motor drive systems quickly and conveniently.

PSIM-HyperStudy Link for Design Optimization of Power Electronic Converters and Motor Drive Systems
A new connector link between PSIM and HyperStudy is created from v2024.1 to simulate and study the PSIM schematics from the HyperStudy environment. The purpose of this feature is to use the simulated output signals data in HyperStudy environment for design of the experiment (DOE), optimization, and other post-processing of simulated data from PSIM.
Linking with PSIM: The PSIM-HyperStudy connector link only works from PSIM v2024.1 onwards. The connector can connect with HyperStudy v2024.0 and as well as HyperStudy v2024.1.
Link inside HyperStudy: Once the successful connection is done via PSIM v2024.1 “Utilities -> HyperStudy Setup”, one can use the PSIM schematics files for the design of the experiment (DOE), optimization, etc. by adding the PSIM as in the “Add Model” dialog, as shown below in the figure.
Steady State Detection Feature
- The Steady State Detection Block offers a feature to bypass the TotalTime solver option. This block is used to stop the simulation once the target steady state is reached and is maintained for a specific amount of time.
- This helps with simulation time efficiency, when the user(s) are running hundreds or thousands of simulations with different inputs.
